Daniel Cormier and Ben Askren completely disagreed over whether one of the biggest stars in the UFC ‘sucks’ or not.
While DC quite likes the individual in question, ‘Funky’ completely disagreed, branding him an ‘A** hole’.
Daniel Cormier and Ben Askren argue over whether Colby Covington ‘sucks’
Since his famous speech in Brazil after beating Demian Maia, Colby Covington has leaned into the role of the villain, aggravating both fans and fighters alike with his brash antics and trash talk.
Whether his behavior is just an act remains a mystery to the public, with the athletes who know him well giving mixed reviews on what he’s really like behind the scenes.
And it appears Daniel Cormier and Ben Askren have extremely opposing views on ‘Chaos’. While ‘DC’ seems to think he’s a decent guy deep down, the welterweight’s old rival thinks he’s just as bad as people say.
During a recent episode of Funky and the Champ, the pair were talking about how much trash-talking Belal Muhammad has done since becoming champion, with Cormier noting that he’s fired several shots in Covington’s direction.

Askren pointed out: “He’s always hated Colby,” to which the former heavyweight champ laughed: “You guys all hate Colby, though.”
The former Bellator King explained: “Because Colby’s an a** hole.”
Sticking up for his countryman, Cormier said: “He’s not that bad, bro. Colby’s not that bad.”
Aggravated by the comment, Askren explained: “Stop it.” Claiming he wasn’t joking, the two-weight UFC champion asserted: “No, I’m serious. Colby is not that bad, bro.”
Blown away, The ex-ONE Championship title holder questioned: “You guys golf together don’t you? You guys are golf buddies, aren’t you?” Listen, we are friends, but we don’t have to agree on everything. I think Colby sucks.”
Putting his friend on the spot, DC asked: “Why do you think that?”
Trying to settle the argument, Aksren insisted: “Post it in the comments, who’s right? Dan, put a poll, does Colby suck or not?”
The viewers seemed to agree with the 170-pounder.
One person said: “Colby sucks,” while another added: “Sorry DC, Ben’s right on this one.”
A third wrote: “Colby froze up like a f***ing popsicle against Leon. Dude is the dollar store Chael Sonnen, just nowhere near him. Colby absolutely sucks.”

It seems whether Covington does or doesn’t suck isn’t the only thing the two former MMA stars have disagreed on as of late.
Recently, Merab Dvalishvili revealed he’d suffered a cut ahead of his title fight with Sean O’Malley at UFC 306.
Cormier believes the injury could cause the Georgian serious problems, with the potential for blood to spray everywhere the second the cut is touched.
However, believing it’s nothing to worry about, Askren fired a brutal insult in his pal’s direction.
