With his legacy in the UFC assured, Wanderlei Silva would love nothing more than to set foot in the boxing ring and settle the score with two of his biggest rivals.

While many years have passed since his bouts with the pair of MMA icons, the Brazilian’s desire to trade leather with them lives on.

Wanderlei Silva wants boxing matches with Chael Sonnen and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson

In his esteemed career, Wanderlei Silva has gone toe-to-toe with a plethora of legends, but there are two he’d love to throw down with once more.

With his stint in MMA ending in two consecutive losses to Chael Sonnen and Quinton ‘Rampage’ Jackson, the Curitiba athlete is desperate to right those wrongs in the squared circle.

Their feud was marinated nicely during a season of The Ultimate Fighter, where ‘The American Gangster’ uttered the famous words ‘I can’t let you get close’ before chaos ensued.

Several years later, they eventually got the chance to get their hands on one another in Bellator, with Sonnen overcoming a knockdown to secure a decision victory.

During a conversation with MMA Junkie Radio, the 48-year-old explained: "I would love to actually have a show with Chael Sonnen. But with me, it wouldn't be a show. I would get in there to knock him out."

While Silva only had the one sanctioned fight with the Oregon native, he shared a much deeper history with Rampage Jackson.

The pair first faced off back in 2003 in Pride, with ‘The Axe Murderer’ claiming a finish. In their second clash a year later, Silva knocked his opponent out again.

However, when they clashed in the trilogy bout, the American earned his redemption with a devastating left hook.

The legends didn’t cross paths for a fourth time until ten years later, with Rampage bagging another stoppage at Bellator 206.

Therefore, while both men are done with MMA, Wanderlei would love a fifth match-up in the ten-ounce gloves.

He said: “It's a really interesting match. I won two, I lost two. I think we need to have the fifth fight."

While both Silva and Rampage are enjoying the fruits of their labor in retirement, it appears their fire to compete still burns bright.

Despite having hung up the gloves, the American is still a scary man when he needs to be.

At the peak of his powers, very few men could claim to have the innate ability to strike fear into the hearts of the people crossing them, than the Memphis fighter.

And streamer Ac7ionman recently found out just how intimidating the warrior can be.
