***CARLOS PRATES OBLITERATES NEIL MAGNY — HIGHLIGHTS!!!***

Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) returned home this weekend(Sat., Nov., 9, 2024) with UFC Vegas 100at the familiar APEX facility outside of Las Vegas, Nevada. The mixed martial arts (MMA) event was streamed LIVE on ESPN+. The main event sawveteran Welterweight, Neil Magny, taking on yet another tough up-and-comer in Brazilian knockout artist, Carlos Prates.

UFC Vegas 100's co-main event was supposed to feature former Bantamweight champion, Cody Garbrandt, taking on Miles Johns. However, "No Love" had to pull out during fight week (details here). The main card ultimately had former ONE double champion, Reinier de Ridder, debuting opposite Gerald Meerschaert.

Meanwhile, UFC Vegas 100's "Prelims" were supposed to include Nicolas Dalby vs. Elizeu Zaleski, a rematch of a fight from 2016. However, that was scrapped last-minute because of an injury. Zach Scroggin was drafted in as a late replacement (details here). Ex-title challenger, Karolina Kowalkiewicz, taking on Denise Gomes ended up as the featured "Prelims" bout.
