Ahead of her first UFC title fight, Kayla Harrison is a huge favorite to leave UFC 316 as champion.
Earlier this week, UFC CEO Dana White announced that Harrison is set to challenge Julianna Peña for the bantamweight title in the co-main event of UFC 316 on June 7 at Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
According to FanDuel, Harrison is a -590 favorite to become the 135-pound champion, while Peña comes back at a whopping +370 as the underdog ahead of her first defense of this title reign. That gives Harrison implied odds of 85.5 percent of defeating Peña. Meanwhile, a successful bet on Peña would net a profit of $370 on a $100 wager.
Peña is no stranger to being a massive underdog. She famously pulled off one of the biggest upsets in UFC title fight history, stopping Amanda Nunes to win her first belt at UFC 269 in December 2021. "The Venezuelan Vixen" entered that bout as an eye-opening +700 underdog.
Harrison makes her third octagon appearance following a 15-1 run in the PFL. In her UFC debut, the two-time PFL season champion finished Holly Holm at UFC 300 a year ago, and earned a hard-fought decision victory against Ketlen Vieira at October's UFC 307 event—the same card on which Peña regained her title following a decision win against Raquel Pennington.
