Charles Johnson has reacted to his impressive four-fight win streak coming to an end.

The lanky 5ft 7in flyweight squared off against Ramazan Temirov in the first fight of the night at UFC Vegas 103.

Charles Johnson enjoyed a strong third frame, but it wasn’t enough to get him the win as the cageside judges decided his opponent won the first two rounds and handed out unanimous 29-28 scorecards in his favor.

The defeat was particularly painful for ‘Inner G’ as his fine form had earned him a spot in the flyweight top 15, which he has now almost certainly lost after falling short to an unranked fighter, who had only fought once in the UFC before beating him.

Charles Johnson issues statement after UFC Vegas 103 loss

Johnson was downbeat but not disheartened in the immediate aftermath of his first loss since 2023.

The 34-year-old insisted he’d be back in a statement that suggested he didn’t feel he truly lost against Temirov.

"Living out my dreams," Johnson tweeted after his defeat at UFC Vegas 103.

"This one stings. Didn't go my way. Lots of opportunity I left on the table.

"Also felt I won the second. Flyweights fights are tough! See yal soon

Ramazan Temirov sends message to Dana White

Manel Kape put himself in flyweight title contention, despite being accused of cheating in the UFC Vegas 103 main event he shared with Asu Almabayev, who suffered multiple eye pokes before being stopped by strikes in round three.

Post-fight, Alexandre Pantoja joined Kape for live TV interview to build towards a potential clash.

Meanwhile, Temirov was plotting to leapfrog every other 125lb contender to secure a title fight.

The 2-0 UFC star, who boasts a 19-3 MMA record, sent a direct message to Dana White during his post-fight press conference.

“Dana, I will be the champion. I will clear the division.”

"Kai Kara-France, Brandon Moreno, [Alexandre] Pantoja, no problem.

“I am the champion. Everything is on time. I am ready. I am Uzbek."
