Lightweights Renato Moicano and Drew Dober are set to clash at the upcoming UFC Fight Night event scheduled on Feb. 3 at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas.

Multiple people with knowledge of the promotion's plans confirmed the matchup to MMA Fighting on Saturday after Moicano initially revealed the news on his YouTube channel.

According to Moicano, he was originally slated to face Jalin Turner on the same card but that matchup was scrapped after Turner accepted a short-notice fight against Bobby Green instead. Turner won that fight by knockout, but the UFC moved forward to find Moicano a new opponent instead.

The fight will serve as Moicano's first appearance since 2022 when he scored a submission win over Brad Riddell. Since that time, Moicano has been dealing with a knee injury that kept him sidelined for over a year but now he's ready to return in early 2024.

As for Dober, the always exciting lightweight will look to build on his Performance of the Night against Ricky Glenn in his last outing where he delivered a first-round knockout. That brought Dober's record to 4-1 over his past five fights with his only setback coming against Matt Frevola in May.

Moicano vs. Dober joins the UFC Fight Night card on Feb. 3, which will be headlined by a middleweight showdown between Roman Dolidze and Nassourdine Imavov.
