PFL World Championship 2023 video: Biaggio Ali Walsh faceplants Joel Lopez with brutal knockout

Biaggio Ali Walsh continued his dominant run in the PFL after he scored a brutal second-round knockout in his latest amateur fight.

The grandson of Muhammad Ali showed off his hands once again and he came after opponent Joel Lopez with several combinations while launching huge, powerful looping shots throughout the fight. While Lopez displayed incredible toughness, Ali Walsh just kept coming after him without showing much fear of reprising.

The end came after Ali Walsh uncorked a hellacious right hook that blasted Lopez and as he stumbled away, he ate another short left that put him face first down on the canvas. The referee rushed in to stop the fight before any further damage was dished out with the time coming at 1:24 in the second round.

"Just so much going on in my mind right now," Ali Walsh said after his sixth straight knockout win. "I'm still an amateur so I'm still getting ready for everything. Just to get this experience as an amateur is insane. I'll definitely announce soon so everyone will know [if I'm turning pro]."

As soon as the action got started, Ali Walsh was on the attack as he marched forward and backed Lopez against the cage before unleashing a huge barrage of punches. Lopez refused to go down but he definitely ate some hard shots in those early exchanges.

While he was getting lit up at times, Lopez still managed to hang tough and he used his reach to stick a jab in Ali Walsh's face from time to time to back him off. Still, his punches just weren't landing with as much force, which allowed Ali Walsh to continue his offensive onslaught.

Ali Walsh was relentless with his pressure and that's what eventually led to the shots landed to eventually open up Lopez for the right hook that spelled the beginning of the end for him. Once the right hook had him badly rocked, Lopez absorbed that one final strike before he collapsed to the canvas.

Ali Walsh now sits at 6-1 as an amateur and it remains to be seen if 2024 will serve as the year he finally makes his turn as a professional.
