The two former UFC fighters will step inside the ring on March 29 at the AO Arena in Manchester.

Darren Till has been known to get into it with his fellow fighters throughout his career which has recently seen him made the switch over to boxing.

The former UFC title challenger made his long-awaited Misfits debut last month where Till stopped Anthony Taylor in six rounds before targeting a quick turnaround.

Till is now set to compete on the card headlined by the rescheduled bout between KSI and Dillon Danis with Misfits drafting in a fellow Brit with Octagon experience to face him.

Whilst fans may have expected a more cordial affair this time around, it looks like any chance of that happening have quickly gone out of the window following a social media exchange between Till and his next opponent, Darren Stewart.

Former UFC fighters Darren Till and Darren Stewart butt heads on social media ahead of Manchester boxing clash

Darren Till’s next opponent will be 14-fight UFC veteran Darren Stewart who made the decision to retire from MMA following a loss in March of last year.

In an extensive post on X, Till said that he had nothing but respect for ‘The Dentist’ until he saw him trash talking in a video which set him off.

“There's a lot of things I am. But one this is for certain is not fearful of any man. So Darren ya little bum keep ya trap shut and turn up and earn your 30 or 40K whatever it is your earning and that's that. The truth of the matter is you and one other where the only ones willing to accept the fight so we chose your bum a–. F—— little bum. Where there was no beef now there is beef and the Dentist gonna get terrored at the presser. Ahaaaahahahahahahahahaha.”

Stewart responded to the post shortly after, telling his upcoming opponent to watch the full video before making a judgement but also stating if this is the road that Till wants to go down, he’ll happily oblige.

“Bro don't get all in your feelings! They said sell the fight get me! You know me. Watch the full video get me and you'll see! But it's calm let's get to work”

The former UFC fighters exchanged comments once more when talking about selling the fight which isn’t something that Till has ever had an issue with in the past.

Stewart got the last word in by questioning Till’s statement that his name will sell the fight all by itself, along with sending a few jabs the way of Tommy Fury.

What was Darren Stewart’s record in the UFC?

Darren Stewart may not have achieved the same heights as Darren Till during his time in the UFC but he did step inside the Octagon on more occasions.

‘The Dentist’ made his debut for the MMA leader back in 2016, one year after Till, and departed the promotion in 2021 after being without a win in his last four.

Overall, the Londoner achieved a UFC record of 5-7 with two performance bonuses under his belt via his knockout of Eric Spicely in 2018 and his submission win over Maki Pitolo in 2020.

After parting ways with the UFC, he returned to his former home of Cage Warriors where he fought six times, going 4-2, before hanging up the gloves with an overall pro record of 16-10.
