Muhammad Mokaev is 'back home' as undefeated fighter officially re-signs with promotion after dramatic UFC exit

After a rather eventful exit from the UFC, we now know exactly where Muhammad Mokaev will fight next, with his new promotion announcing the news during a live broadcast.

Following a rough patch shrouded in uncertainty, the 24-year-old is ready to rebuild and show the world what he’s truly capable of.

Muhammad Mokaev signs with Brave CF

Muhammad Mokaev has officially re-signed with Brave CF after the UFC made the decision not to renew his contract.

During his time in the world’s premier mixed martial arts organization, the Brit looked destined to become a champion.

Having solidified his position as one of the greatest amateur fighters of all time, the sublimely gifted athlete took the UFC by storm, defeating every opponent he faced inside the octagon.

Utilizing his formidable grappling skills and fighting IQ, Mokaev rocketed up the rankings and looked on the cusp of securing a title shot against Alexandre Pantoja.

However, things took a drastic turn in the build-up to his fight with Manel Kape at the Co-op Live in Manchester, UK. Following a pre-fight brawl, the bout found itself on the prelims.

During the contest itself, the Russian-born athlete did his utmost to put his grappling-heavy style in the rearview mirror and instead trade punches with his rival.

However, while this was enough to get the win, it wasn’t enough to convince Dana White to keep him around.

Subsequently, Mokaev has had to search for a new promotion, eventually returning to Brave CF, an organization in which he made his professional debut.

Brave CF releases statement on resigning Muhammad Mokaev

During the live broadcast of BRAVE CF 86, the promotion confirmed Mokaev had made his grand return, saying he’d come ‘back home’.

In a statement, the organization added that they’d believed the sportsman had been mistreated.

Brave president Mohammad Shahid claimed: “There has been an unjust persecution of his character and attempts to use defamation to feed personal vendettas, and is evidently clear that there are no clear reasons as to why the best athlete in the world cannot compete.

Not only that, his return solidifies our ethos to have the best fight the best irrespective of any other variable, be it of creed, sex, color or marketability."
