The majority of Jake Paul’s previous boxing opponents have accepted a fight against the internet sensation because of the life-changing sum of money that comes along with it, but Mike Tyson is different from the rest.

After their originally scheduled fight in July was postponed after Mike Tyson suffered a health complication, combat sports fans held out hope that Jake Paul would move away from the controversial fight.

Despite that, the fight was unfortunately rescheduled to take place this coming November from the AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.

Mike Tyson admits why he is fighting Jake Paul despite controversy

After such a successful and lucrative boxing career, ‘Iron’ Mike then found huge success with his Cannabis company, Tyson 2.0.

With that, the 58-year-old has admitted that his return to boxing is not for the financial gain, despite him and Paul sharing an $80m pot.

“I could be waiting on a check every day from cannabis. That’s bullsh*t for me. I’m a man, I want to go out there and I want to expose myself to risk. Sometimes I want to see who I really am,” Tyson recently admitted when commentating at Cage Wars 67.

“I want to see what I’m really made out of. I want to perform in front of the world. To me, that’s all I ever knew how to do since I was 14. This fight is not going to change my life financially enough. This is just what I want to do,” Tyson continued.

Largely considered one of the most terrifying fighters to ever live, Tyson has openly admitted since his retirement that he doesn’t like the man fighting made him become.

However, the 58-year-old is confident that ahead of his comeback, he will be able to channel his former self and will do so with the assistance of ‘Magic Mushrooms’.

The former undisputed heavyweight boxing champion recently revealed that for his fight against Paul, he will bizarrely be on ‘residue of mushrooms’.

Mike Tyson provides an alarming health update ahead of November meeting

Tyson and Paul recently faced off with each other at the AT&T Stadium, moments before the Dallas Cowboys’ NFL season opener at home against the New Orleans Saints.

Although there were no visible concerns from the face-off, Tyson has provided quite an alarming update regarding his health that has once again got fans and experts concerned for his well-being come November.

“It’s hard to walk right now. But two months from now I’m going to be perfect. The fight is won in the gym. Listen, I’ll do anything that will help me,” Tyson concerningly stated.
