Michael ‘Venom’ Page has recapped the time he spent in the gym with UFC star Khamzat Chimaev.

Chimaev congratulated ‘MVP‘ after his recent win over Shara ‘Bullet’ Magomedov at UFC Saudi Arabia.

The two MMA superstars seemingly struck up a friendship while training together in Dubai last May.

But ever since, rumors about what happened between the two men in training have been circulating online.

Michael Page shuts down Khamzat Chimaev sparring rumor

Michael Page recently appeared on a podcast with his former bare-knuckle boxing opponent, Mike Perry.

‘Platinum’ asked the man he beat by majority decision in August 2022 about his time training with Chimaev.

Perry invited Page to respond to rumors he did very well when he sparred with the 14-0 Russian phenom.

“I'll kill that now. I'll kill it now, that's nonsense,” MVP insisted on the OverDogs podcast.

“I didn't even get to spar him. He ended up sparring my boy, Norbert Novenyi. Norbert gave him a little back-and-forth round. They had their tense sparring session.

“I think because we came as a team, and I sparred a couple of the other guys, I was kinda having fun and showing my flare and stuff. Like I said, Chinese whispers, it got mixed. I have nothing to do with that.

“I got to see him in his element, he is such a beast. I guarantee you he gets the title this year.”

Michael Page eyes former light heavyweight champion

Page is all about putting on fan-friendly fights, and he’s willing to give up weight to make them happen.

The long-time welterweight contender put on 15lb so he could fight Shara ‘Bullet’ earlier this month.

Now he’s ready to bulk up to light heavyweight for a clash with former 205lb champion Jiri Prochazka.

"I'm the kind of person that would move up another division and fight someone like Jiri because it's an exciting fight,” MVP said during his post-fight press conference at UFC Saudi Arabia.

“[The most spins ever?] Yeah, the most spins – like two tornadoes clashing. I've said it from the beginning that I want to make a lot of noise; I haven't got the highlight that I've wanted just yet but if I can keep getting these exciting matchups then why not?"

Only time will tell if UFC boss Dana White will allow that matchup or if Page will be forced to pick a lane.
