Michael Chandler is being verbally attacked by fans who are making fun of him for missing out on the Conor McGregor fight.

The American waited on the sidelines for two years in vain, with the Irishman now looking a million miles away from a UFC return.

After suffering a loss at the hands of Charles Oliveira at UFC 309, Chandler once again called out McGregor, and has more recently mocked his run-in with Jake Paul and Logan Paul.

However, it seems the grappler has realized it’s time to move on, signing on the dotted line to face a massive name at UFC 314.

Michael Chandler mocked for taking Paddy Pimblett fight

On April 12, at UFC 314, Michael Chandler will go head-to-head with Paddy Pimblett inside the Kaseya Center in Miami, Florida, USA.

The intriguing match-up pits the gifted wrestler against a Brazilian jiu-jitsu phenom in a battle of two of the biggest names at 155-pounds.

However, while the fight will likely excite, that doesn’t mean fans haven’t jumped at the opportunity to get on social media and make fun of Chandler.

One person tweeted: "Now beating Chandler will continue to have a false value of contention all because they keep Mike in hopes of Conor coming around.”

A second claimed: "Everyone including Conor knew Chandler was never getting that fight."

A third posted: “Chandler went from potentially fighting Conor to fighting Pimblett,” proceded by several laughing emojis.

Who will main event UFC 314?

While April’s PPV card certainly has an intriguing co-main, the blockbuster clash between Chandler and Pimblett, serves as just a mere starter to the main course of the evening.

As Ilia Topuria is now moving up to the lightweight divison in pursuit of Islam Makhachev, the featherweight strap has become vacant.

With that in mind, Dana White has announced the two men who will battle it out for the title in Miami.
