Khabib Says Islam Will Fight In January

Khabib Nurmagomedov has announced that UFC Lightweight Champion Islam Makhachev will fight in January. Makhachev successfully defended his belt, beating Dustin Poirier with a fifth-round submission in his last fight at UFC 302. Khabib was in Islam’s corner as all eyes turned towards his next opponent. Makhachev was expected to fight Arman Tsarukyan, the number-one contender, in October.
