Jon Jones details five-year plan as he eyes two more UFC wins before dramatic career change

Jon Jones has mapped out how he sees his next five yearsgoing.
The UFC heavyweight champion teased retirement before knocking out Stipe Miocic at UFC 309 in November.
Post-fight, talk immediately turned to a unification clash with interim titleholder Tom Aspinall.
UFC boss Dana White is doing everything he can to make what he thinks could be the biggest fight in company history, and Jon Jones seems to have been convinced to stick around for a little bit longer.

UFC, money, and acting
Jon Jones recently took part in a strange interview that saw him get behind the wheel of a $5million car.
‘Bones’ talked about his plans for the future while riding around in a Bugatti with Alex Gonzalez.
The 37-year-old suggested his next fight could be his last. However, he went on the say that he could end up in the Octagon two more times as he tries to make as much money as he can before retiring and pursuing a career in Hollywood.
“Within the next five years, I wanna win one more fight, maybe even two more fights, and try and make as much money as possible in the UFC,” Jones said.
“I want to launch off my acting career. I’ve always wanted to be an actor. I think I do pretty good on camera and I’ve done little commercials and things like that.
“Every time I’m on set, everybody’s like, ‘Bro, it’s hard to believe that you’re a fighter. You know, you conduct yourself just like all of our professional actors.’ So that’s my five-year plan. 10 years from now I just want to be the best dad I can be.”
Jones recently made his small screen debut with a cameo in the Netflix MMA drama La Cage, which also stars his former opponent, Ciryl Gane, and fellow fight legend Georges St-Pierre.
Now he's filming military-style scenes for a new project he's very happy to be working on. Earlier this week, Jones shared footage and images from his time on set, with a caption that made his plan for life after fighting very clear.
"Man, what a humbling experience," Jones wrote. “Stepping into acting feels like a whole new game, and I'm ready to put in the work, just like I always have. I'm honored, I'm motivated, and I'm excited for what's ahead.
"This is only the beginning. The grind doesn't stop—let's keep building something special. The future's looking real bright."
Dana White guarantees Jon Jones vs Tom Aspinall
Jon Jones has been honest about his aversion to fighting Tom Aspinall. The greatest of all time would prefer to face light heavyweight champion Alex Pereira instead – but the UFC bosses have no interest in making that matchup right now.
Dana White recently guaranteed that Jones will fight Aspinall at some point next year.
"100 percent," he said during a recent press conference when asked if the heavyweight unification bout is the biggest he can make in 2025. "I think it's probably the biggest fight in heavyweight history and it's a massive fight in the history of the company, too. It's a big fight."
The reporter pointed out that Jones has been 'on the fence' about fighting Aspinall before White interjected to provide a promising negotiations update.
He added: "It's weird. Let me tell you what's weird about that. So, usually, those guys say that s*** behind the scenes and not publicly. Jon says that s*** publicly and not behind the scenes.
"Jon is a very unique individual to deal with. From day one, I've been confident that Jon Jones would do that fight. Even before [UFC 309] I said, 'If he won, there's no way Jon doesn't do the fight'.
"Jon Jones isn't afraid to fight anybody, and that's a fact. The only time that anything remotely weird has ever happened with Jon Jones is the time his f***ing camp did the weird Chael Sonnen thing. 'We can't fight Chael Sonnen on short notice'.
"And that wasn't him, it was his team, and he listened to his team for whatever reason. But that's like the goofiest f***ing move in UFC history. Other than that, Jon Jones behind the scenes is not a guy who turns down fights."
"I'll say 100 percent [the fight will happen]."
