Jon Jones and Alex Pereira come to surprise agreement

According to Alex Pereira, both he and Jon Jones came to a surprise agreement after meeting at the Las Vegas Sphere on Saturday.

UFC 306 was one of the most special events in the promotions history. Alongside several memorable moments, the spectacle has now arguably been made even better after news of an agreement between Jones and Pereira was sparked.

After a lot of speculation, Jones' UFC return has now been confirmed. The heavyweight champion will defend his title against Stipe Miocic, in what many expect to be his final fight inside the octagon.

Sitting next to each other at UFC 306 this past weekend, 'Bones' and Alex Pereira — while a fight may never come to fruition between the two — they have seemingly agreed to train together.

"Well, we both sat in the front row next to each other," Pereira told Full Send. "We been talking already about training together for a long time, but I think now it's going to happen."

Pereira revealed more details, claiming that he could help Jones prepare for his upcoming clash against Stipe Miocic.

"I think [I'll be training with him] because his fights going to be in November."

"Everytime I leave a fight, it takes a week or two sometimes for me to recovery small injuries. I think I'll have enough time to go over there."

Accepting that he may never get to meet Jon Jones in the octagon, Alex Pereira is relishing the chance to train with the Hall-of-Famer.

"I want to get his experience... Sometimes people say that he's going to fight one time, one or twice more."

"I don't know if I'll be able to share the cage with him, but at least I want to get the experience of training with him."
