After years of chasing a fight with Canelo Alvarez, Jake Paul seems to have turned his attention elsewhere.

Boxing has seen a surge of support and new viewers tuning in over recent years, and a big reason for that is 'The Problem Child'. Though he still has his critics, the 27-year-old has been an instrumental force in the modern growth of boxing and believes he deserves to be rewarded for that.

Jake Paul had eyes on a clash with superstar Canelo Alvarez, which would undoubtedly be a monumental event. But after pushing for an agreement, Paul no longer seems interested.

Just weeks ago, the YouTuber still announced Alvarez as his ideal matchup, but he has since had a change of heart.

Following his win over Mike Tyson, Jake Paul jumped on social media and dismissed any potential future fight with the Mexican.

As it appeared Canelo Alvarez began warming to the idea of the bout, Paul has withdrawn his interest.

"Why the f*** would I give him the payday?" Paul said in a post on X. "When I beat him it would be the same bullsh*t and lies."

"[They would say] that Canelo was too small and Jake Paul paid him off."

Despite consistently fighting respectable competition, the rigged allegations surrounding Jake Paul's fights haven't slowed down.

Beating the likes of Mike Tyson, Anderson Silva, and Tyron Woodley—among other notable names—has fans questioning the legitimacy of his career in the sport. Doubts from fans have led to rumors of Paul paying off his opponents in exchange for wins.

The social media influencer has had much success since transitioning over to boxing full-time.

His dedication is showing each time he competes as he manages to set new heights for fellow influencers.

Now, with Canelo Alvarez seemingly out of his mind, Jake Paul would welcome the chance to avenge his sole loss inside the ring in a rematch with Tommy Fury.
