Who are the most popular active superstars in the UFC, and how do you even determine who'd be on that list?
Well, you can look at different measures such as Instagram followers, PPV sales and event gates; or you can compare who sold the most merchandise – in 2024, can you guess who the biggest UFC sellers were?
Big names miss out as Top five UFC merchandise sellers for 2024 revealed
From official fight kits to custom apparel, gym equipment, and rare collectibles; the official online store for the UFC sells everything that a fight fan could ever want to purchase.
But which fighter has sold the most this past year?
Luckily, the Ultimate Fighting Championship has just revealed their Top five fighters biggest sellers, with some pretty big names missing out.
Coming in at No. 5 is none other than the heavyweight champion of the world, Jon 'Bones' Jones.
Whilst Jones might be the consensus GOAT and one of the most well-known fighters in the world, with only one UFC bout in 2024, we can't say that we're necessarily surprised to see 'Bones' in at only number five.
However, the fourth best-seller of UFC merchandise in 2024 might raise one or two eyebrows – former bantamweight champion, 'Suga' Sean O'Malley.
The flashy striker fought twice this year and in recent months, there'd been an argument that 'Suga' wasn't as big of a star as initially believed – looking at his placement on this list, it's hard to argue that he isn't still one of the promotions biggest draws.

Dustin Poirier sold the third-most merchandise via the UFC website this year.
Given how Poirier has repeatedly stated that he's coming to the end of his iconic UFC career, it's good to see so many UFC fans getting some 'Diamond' quality apparel while they can.
The second biggest-seller of UFC merch this past year was BMF title holder Max 'Blessed' Holloway – and we can imagine how sales skyrocketed after his last-second heroics at UFC 300.
And finally, the number one best-selling UFC fighter of 2024 is Alex 'Poatan' Pereira.
With three title wins and three title KOs in the space of just a few months, the Brazilian has become arguably the sport’s biggest superstar outside of Conor McGregor.
Aside from having arguably the nicest-looking merch out of those five; it's also worth noting that Pereira has far more merchandise than anyone else: 109 items for Poatan, 80 for Holloway, 57 for Poirier, 77 for O'Malley, and just 45 for Jones.
By comparison to some of the other big names who failed to crack the top five; Ilia Topuria has 45 items available, as does both Charles Oliveira and Islam Makhachev – with Conor McGregor sitting at 152 different bits of merch.
Christmas might be over, but there's plenty of time to grab yourself some official UFC gear before the first event of the new year, UFC Fight Night: Dern vs Ribas 2, goes down on January 11, 2025.
