Floyd Mayweather has issued an official statement on social media.
The boxing legend was caught on camera being mobbed by fans during a recent shopping trip in London, which ended with him being bundled into the back of a car by his security team.
Footage shows the former five-weight world champion browsing in a jewelry shop before it cuts to him walking back to his vehicle while arguing with a group of people.
Tempers appeared to have flared and rumors about Floyd Mayweather being physically attacked have been circulating online ever since the video went viral.
Floyd Mayweather reacts to viral video
Mayweather insists that he was not hit or harmed during his UK trip.
'Money' issued a statement to set the record straight and put an end to several false narratives that had been invented by people attempting to explain the incident.
“Let me set the record straight… there is no truth to the rumors going around,” Mayweather wrote on Instagram.
“I wasn't punched or touched in any way. What you are seeing is just my security doing their job to keep things under control.
“I was in the UK for a quick 48-hour stop to do some shopping and unfortunately, people let jealousy and negativity fuel false stories.
“I'm perfectly fine and there is really nothing more to it.”
Floyd Mayweather's lucrative post-retirement career
Mayweather quit professional boxing after beating Conor McGregor in 2017.
However, the 47-year-old grandfather still laces up the gloves from time to time for exhibition bouts against novice boxers with social media followings.
Influencers such as Logan Paul, Deji, and Aaron Chalmers have all shared the ring with the man many people consider the greatest of all time in recent years.
Mayweather has also fought MMA stars and one of his ex-sparring partners during an eight-fight retirement run that has allowed him to keep making millions from boxing.
John Gotti III – grandson of the infamous gangster John Gotti – was his last opponent. They rematched in August after their original meeting ended in a DQ and post-fight brawl.
It's currently unclear who he'll face next, but Mayweather is showing no signs of slowing down and it seems certain that he will fight again in 2025.
