Week 3 of Dana White's Contender Series Season 8 played out inside the UFC Apex Centre in Las Vegas on Tuesday night. The fight card featured five bouts and was headlined by a middleweight match between Andrey Pulyaev and Liam Anderson.
Pulyaev defeated Anderson via unanimous decision and punched his ticket to the UFC with the win. White awarded four UFC contracts following Tuesday's fights. Along wit Pulyaev, Malcolm Wllmaker, Marco Tulio, and Bogdan Grad also earned contracts.
Flyweights Nick Piccininni and Jack Duffy fought to a split decision in the first fight of the night. Piccininni won, but White didn't agree with the scoring and rebooked the matchup for a later DWCS card.
While Michael Aswell, who fought Grad in the co-main event, will be on standby. If a UFC featherweight gets injured, UFC matchmakers have Aswell's number on speed dial.
