As several shocking turn of events begin to unfold surrounding Conor McGregor's UFC career, he is still dedicated to taking BKFC to the next level.

Earlier this year, 'The Notorious' became co-owner of the Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship promotion. Since then, he has made multiple appearances at BKFC events and has shown a real interest in his new business venture.

Speaking of his current situation under the UFC banner, Conor McGregor made a plea to those in charge.

"Like I said, I have two fights left on my UFC contract," explained McGregor. "My opponent that I was scheduled to fight has rescheduled another bout."

"I would like maybe an exemption."

Looking to take his combat sports promotion to the next level, McGregor later made a proposal to the UFC.

"Maybe a joint partnership. Bare Knuckle/UFC. Similar to McGregor Sports & Entertainment and Mayweather Promotions."

"Some sort of agreement where we can get busy, you know. I need to be busy. And right now, I'm working to get there."

"So, let's see what happens. Like I said, I have two fights left on the contract and it's taking a minute. But, you know, patience is one of the most important skills a human being can possess."

Conor McGregor revealed the debut of his McGregor Sports & Entertainment company during his clash with Floyd Mayweather.

The pair shared the ring back in 2016, and despite falling short to the boxing prowess of Mayweather, it was just the beginning for McGregor's transition to business.

What's next for Conor McGregor?

With his fight against Michael Chandler likely not happening, there is more uncertainty surrounding McGregor's UFC return than ever before.

The Irishman has expressed an interest in making the walk to the BKFC ring and has hinted at that possibility numerous times.

But for as long as his two-fight contract with the UFC isn't resolved, Conor McGregor will be unable to compete elsewhere.

According to Dana White, the former two-division UFC champion will make his octagon return in 2025.
