Conor McGregor looks powerful in new sparring video

While Michael Chandler has seemingly moved on from a Conor McGregor fight, at least for the time being, the Irish phenom is still working hard in the gym.

With an aim of honing his craft, McGregor is looking as powerful as ever in newly-released training footage.

Going back to his roots, ‘The Notorious’ laced up the boxing gloves and got to work with a significantly larger opponent.

In footage uploaded to his Instagram page, McGregor looked fast and dynamic as he picked off his adversary at will.

The clip starts with the former 2x UFC champion measuring the distance with his right hand, before firing a thunderous left that sent his opponent flying into the ropes.

As he bounced back towards McGregor, the MMA star doubled up on the right hand, with one landing to the body while the other detonated upstairs.

Realizing he needed to improve his defense, the sparring partner adopted a high guard, prompting the Dubliner to throw a left and right hook to the body.

He concluded his attack with a straight to the head, which the opponent appeared to partially block with his gloves.
