Brendan Allen eyeing Khamzat Chimaev or Robert Whittaker for UFC 300

Brendan Allen put on a fantastic display at UFC Vegas 82 on Saturday night and raked in a performance bonus in the process. The rising star managed to out-grapple a man known for his submission prowess in Paul Craig and cement himself as a real contender at 185 lbs.

From the opening minute up until his eventual rear naked choke stoppage over his opponent, Allen was in the driver's seat. Following his huge win, the Louisiana talent made some comments regarding his future during the post-fight press conference.

Allen believes that one more win will put him in line with a shot at UFC gold and told the world who he expects to fight next.

"Whoever Mick [Maynard], Hunter [Campbell], and Dana [White] say, that's who we're fighting," Allen said when discussing possible matchups against Robert Whittaker and Khamzat Chimaev. "Whoever they say that, if you win this, you're guaranteed a title shot, that's who I'm fighting."

"It doesn't matter, I've worked my a** off to get here. I've sacrificed so much to get here in my personal life and every other part of my life. I'm going to go home, I'm going to go hunting, I'm going to be a dad, we're going to have a good time, we're going to enjoy the holidays, and come April or hopefully around that time, hopefully, UFC 300."

Expanding on his ideal return date, 'All In' made his case for a spot on the upcoming iconic event.

"I hope that [I fight on] UFC 300, I think that would be a pretty cool event. Obviously, I've main-evented now. [I've] done it on short notice before, I fought all of these guys, I think it'd be pretty cool... It'd just be cool to be part of an event like that, [it will] have a lot of eyes, a lot of things going on."

The surging middleweight has plans to sit atop his division with gold wrapped around his waist next year and knows he'll have to make a statement against a fellow top-ranked contender.
