Magomed Ankalaev opened as the -200 betting favorite for his UFC 313 main event against Alex Pereira, who was pegged as the +170 underdog. Ankalaev went on to defeat Pereira by unanimous decision atop the March 8 pay-per-view (PPV) in Las Vegas, leading to a championship rematch somewhere down the line.

Probably.

Ankalaev once against opened as the odds-on betting favorite, according to BetOnline.ag, clocking in at -175 opposite +150 for "Poatan." That represents a closer betting line than what opened prior to UFC 313, despite the fact that Ankalaev emerged victorious. Perhaps the oddsmakers agree with this post-fight take?

In the last 24 hours, the line has moved to -185/+160 in favor of Ankalaev.

"Sorry guys I disappointed you," Ankalaev wrote on Twitter, calling out all the UFC fighters who picked against him. "I want my first fight title defense to be in Abu Dhabi, fight capital of the world, I love it there."

A date and location have yet to be decided for their inevitable rematch.

"Listen, I'm happy for a rematch if he wants a rematch," Ankalaev said after UFC 313. "But then maybe in the rematch, he could fight for real and not just run away the entire time."
