It might be a good time for Ben Rothwell to start looking over his 'Big' shoulders; as there's a new contender preparing to challenge for his BKFC heavyweight throne.

After a sensational 2024, the 'world's fastest growing combat sport' continues to go from strength to strength, with the promotion's latest acquisition generating waves across the bare-knuckle world.

Earlier this week, it was revealed that BKFC had signed the son of legendary former heavyweight world champion Tommy Morrison, a move that has been rightly hailed by former UFC double champion Conor McGregor.

On Tuesday, the Bare-Knuckle Fighting Championship confirmed that Kenzie 'TCB' Morrison, son of the late great Tommy Morrison, had officially signed to the roster.

The hard-hitting son of the former world champion had been plying his trade in the boxing ring, where he'd amassed a solid professional record of 22 wins and one loss (two draws) – 20 of those victories coming via KO/TKO.

In a post shared to X in response to the BKFC promotion writing "The heavyweight division is getting interesting," Conor McGregor celebrated that the "Best heavyweight division in all of combat sports is right here at Bare-Knuckle!"

The date and location of Kenzie Morrison's first fight under the BKFC banner is yet to be announced, with founder Dave Feldman acknowledging that this is an enormous addition to an already-stacked division.

"I've watched his ascent in professional boxing and believe his powerful striking will translate perfectly in our deep heavyweight division," stated Feldman via a press release.

"I've had great conversations with David Feldman the last few months and am very excited to join BKFC," added Morrison, teasing that "The athletes competing in their organization are some of the most talented in combat sports and I can't wait to compete."

His father, Tommy Morrison, famously defeated George Foreman to claim the WBO heavyweight title in 1993 – 'The Duke' was also well-known for portraying 'Tommy Gunn' in Rocky V alongside Sylvester Stallone.

Tommy Morrison sadly passed away in September 2013, he was 44 years old.

Name-value aside, Kenzie Morrison is a welcomed addition to the BKFC heavyweight roster thanks to his plethora of experience from competing in the professional boxing world.

'TCB' might have started his career late, but he's certainly made the most of his time in the ring – with 20 knockout wins in 25 fights (13 first-round finishes), including a viral KO win over Hasim Rahman Jr in 2022.

The current BKFC heavyweight champion is Ben Rothwell, who claimed the belt in January with a brutal first-round knockout win over Mick Terrill.

Rothwell's next heavyweight title defense is yet to be formally announced, albeit former UFC fighter Mark Hunt did recently call out the champion for a showdown in Italy.

It's assumed that Morrison will need to rack up at least one or two wins before he gets a shot at the BKFC belt; although if his boxing career is anything to go by, it won't be long before we see 'TCB' in title contention.
