Bellator London has a new main event.
The featherweight tilt between Leah McCourt and Sara Collins has been moved up following the cancellation of the middleweight title bout between champion Johnny Eblen and Fabian Edwards due to undisclosed reasons, the promotion announced Tuesday.
The Eblen vs. Edwards rematch is expected to have a new date announced in the coming days, the company announced on social media. McCourt-Collins was originally serving as the co-main event, and Simeon Powell vs. Rafael Xavier now takes that spot for the Sept. 14 event.
McCourt (8-3) enters the cage looking to get a winning streak together after a win over Sara McMann in November or 2023, stopping the one-time UFC title contender with with punches late in round one to improve to 7-2 inside the Bellator cage.
Collins (5-0) is undefeated as a professional MMA fighter, including a first-round submission over Pam Sorenson in her Bellator debut in March of 2023, and a split decision against Sinead Kavanagh six months later.
Bellator Champions Series: London will take place at the OVO Arena and air live on MAX. The company also announced the addition of Eman Almudhaf vs. Daiane da Silva to the card, plus Joseph Luciano replacing Ross Houston versus Steven Hill. Check the updated lineup below.
