Former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou fought for the second time as a professional boxer on Friday in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. "The Predator" took on Anthony Joshua in the Joshua vs. Ngannou: Knockout Chaos main event and was brutally knocked out in the second round.
Ngannou saw some success early in the opening round with his jab, but was knocked down by a right hand over his jab from the former two-time world champion. Ngannou got to his feet and finished the remainder of the round.
In the second frame, Ngannou pressed forward, but things quickly took a turn. Joshua connected right hand that put Ngannou on the canvas. Ngannou made his way to a knee before standing.
Joshua, sensing Ngannou was hurt, unloaded a right hand that sent Ngannou crashing back to the canvas and rendered him unconscious.

Ngannou made his boxing debut last October against Tyson Fury. The fight went the distance and ended in a highly debated split decision. With the loss to Joshua, Ngannou moved to 0-2 as a professional boxer.
Ngannou's next fight will likely be a mixed martial arts bout. He's expected take on Renan Ferreira in the Professional Fighters League later this year. He inked a multi-fight deal with the PFL in May 2023 but has yet to fight under the banner.
