October's UFC 307 is shaping up to be a fantastic PPV card, with two world title fights topping the bill and a whole host of former champions and rising contenders playing support: including ex-bantamweight king Aljamain Sterling.

Yet as the 'Funkmaster' eyes the chance to wrestle his way back into UFC title contention, this time at featherweight, the former champion is making some bold allegations about his next opponent; 18-0 undefeated Russian contender, Movsar Evloev.

Following his unanimous decision victory over Calvin Kattar at UFC 300 earlier this year, Aljamain Sterling is potentially one big win away from securing a shot at the winner of Ilia Topuria and Max Holloway.

With that featherweight title bout set for the main event of UFC 308, Sterling could see himself named as the No. 1 contender just a few weeks before 'El Matador' and 'Blessed' go to war in the dunes of Abu Dhabi.

The submission specialist faces 18-0 Movsar Evloev at UFC 307, and given Funkmaster's recent allegations, it's safe to say that the feud between the two is reaching a new level of animosity.

Aljamain Sterling accuses Evloev of being on the 'gear' ahead of UFC 307 clash

After giving his thoughts on last week's UFC 305 card in Perth via his official YouTube channel, Sterling would share how training camp for his upcoming clash with Evloev is going as well as he could have hoped.

However, the former bantamweight champion would then launch a scathing attack toward his UFC 307 opponent, alleging that the 18-0 Russian wrestler is on PEDs.

"Now I would like to say this, I would love to be drug tested every single day, even after the fight, but I know my opponent would never do the same because I guarantee you [that] my man is on something.

"It's okay; I'm used to fighting guys who have been on the gear and it's just one of those things – like Nate Diaz [once] said, they're all on steroids.

"May the better man win, I know that I'm the cleaner man and I'm going to get it done," claimed Sterling, before adding "I have no doubt in my mind even with you cheating, mentally it just shows that you're weak."

According to the UFC Anti-Doping database, Movsar Evloev has been tested three times in 2024; with Sterling having been tested four times so far this year – neither fighter has returned a positive test.

Yet given how Sterling failed to provide any proof of the allegations, fans were quick to call out the former champion on social media, leading to Sterling doubling down on his claims of cheating.

"I call out a lot of these guys that have popped for stuff. I'm 99% sure Movsar has taken s*** and possibly still does. But it's never stopped me from beating cheaters before. Hardwork and skillset."

Evloev himself would also respond to the PED allegations, writing on X: "Don't be scared boy, I'll make it quick. You won't feel a thing," to which Sterling replied "Basically, you're admitting I'm right?

"You've 100% taken gear and probably still on the gear. You talk too much and I know for certain. It's ok tho. When you realized it's not enough to beat me you'll contemplate your entire career of why you even bothered to try."

Movsar Evloev vs Aljamain Sterling goes down on October 5, live from Salt Lake City, Utah.
