Jakobi Meyers injury: What status means for Week 7 vs. Chiefs

The 2-4 Las Vegas Raiders travel to Kansas City to take on the 3-3 Chiefs as 12.5-point underdogs this Sunday. They will be without their star tight end once again, as Brock Bowers is listed as doubtful and won't play. They could also be without starting wide receiver Jakobi Meyers, who is listed as questionable with knee and toe injuries.

This of course isn't the game where you want to be without your starting skill players, but this is where they are, which makes the 12.5-point spread seem on point. But for fantasy, we don't care who wins or loses, we just want fantasy points and as many as we can horde.

Jakobi Meyers injury updates

Meyers was unable to practice on Wednesday or Thursday with his toe and knee injuries, but was able to get in a limited practice session on Friday. He then was officially listed as questionable for the game.

Fantasy football analysis

Even with Brock Bowers out, Meyers hasn't been able to do much in fantasy so far this season. His preseason trade request and subsequent down production doesn't look great, but he's still out there getting targets, just not enough. He's slowly gone down in usage with target numbers from Week 1 on looking like — 10, 12, 4, 7, 6, 4. His receiving yards have also dropped, with 30, 32, and 39 over his last three games.

At this point I'd rather play Tre Tucker this week, even if Meyers is active for this matchup.
