Baker Mayfield admits to having a raging erection while running over Vikings player

Baker Mayfield's resurgence with the Buccaneers has been one of most pronounced turnarounds in the NFL in recent years, and it wasn't until this week that we learned it all began with an erection.

Appearing on Pardon My Take, Mayfield admits that his first big play in a Buccaneers' uniform came against the Vikings in 2023, and he did it all while being a little excited south of the border.

Adrenaline can do weird things to a man, but this definitely has to be the first time in history as player has admitted to having an erection while making a big play. Naturally I had to track down the play itself, and exactly which defensive player caused him to transform into Boner Mayfield, and dammit I found it.

This was the only scramble of the game in which Mayfield ran over an opposing player. It came with 7:50 left in the fourth quarter with the score locked 17-17. On 1st down Mayfield took the snap out of the gun and ran five yards off the right end. Defensive back Byron Murphy was in on the play, and got shoved around by Mayfield as he picked up five yeards before being dragged down.

It was a pivotal play in the game, and helped extend the drive that the Buccaneers eventually won on a field goal. Not only did he run over Murphy with an erection, but he then mocked the defender, saying "weight up little boy," mocking his size — again, while Mayfield had a boner.

This isn't the last we'll hear about Boner Mayfield, I'm sure of it.
