The drop zones at Royal Portrush are out of this world.

There is nothing quite like the Open Championship.

It is a special tournament in that it is incredibly global and offers a glimpse at some of the most sacred places where golf is and has been played forever. Simply put, it is a very different thing than golf in the United States.

The folks at Royal Portrush are clearly looking to show off their distinct qualities this week. Consider what the drop zones look like. They are not for the faint of heart.

Let's be honest here. This is outrageous in the best possible way.

Imagine what this is going to look like when players feel like they "catch a break" by getting relief and the ability to take a drop. This is diabolical.

Ultimately this is what golf should look like during the Open Championship and it is going to be so much to watch unfold over the course of this week.
