This golfer has found himself in trouble in the trees but is being bold and going for it.
He’s had the foresight to set a camera up for the shot, or at least we hope he did.
If he had a buddy filming him there might be a whole lot more cause for concern.
The shot rockets into a tree and back into the camera in a moment of glorious golf comedy.

If we are being critical, the 3-wood probably wasn’t the percentage choice of club from this position. Most often this would be a time to get the 7-iron out or the longest iron in your bag.
To get out of the trees in most instances it will be important to keep the ball quite low so a focus on forward shaft lean to deloft the club at impact can have a benefit.
If your local has a set of trees you find often or you’re just an avid woodsman, it’s a good idea to settle on a basic rescue shot with the same club that you can use over and over again.
Fairway woods might not be ideal for this task given the likelihood of an adjacent set of woods or at least a collection of trees that a well-struck shot could find.
