Not every course in England is a masterpiece slotted into linksland and the average golfer’s experience of winter golf can be quite a slog.
The worst winter weather will call most golf off, but there is quite a lot that the English golfer will put up with.
This includes but is not limited to playing on a course with waterlogged fairways.
There are few things that compare to thinking you have found the fairway only to walk up and find your ball in the middle of a gigantic puddle.
Just tell yourself the conditions add to the challenge and will make you a better player in the long run.
