WATCH: Airline baggage handlers filmed tossing golf bags with zero care

Delta Air Lines has apologized following a video showing their employees mishandling golf bags.

The airline workers are seen tossing what are clearly golf bags, therefore almost certainly containing clubs, right onto the tarmac of a runway.

This unacceptable handling has rightly been called out for what it is and the airline has since apologized.

The Tennessee University men's golf team filmed their bags being abused and brought this to the airline’s attention.

Delta told reporters that the airline was communicating with the team about the incident.

"We apologize to the ETSU Golf team and ask for a mulligan on how their equipment was handled," Delta spokesperson Anthony Black said in an emailed statement. "We're in direct contact with the Bucs to ensure they have what they need to successfully compete in the NCAAs."

Unifi representatives have also apologized to the team.

"The way the luggage is being handled is not consistent with our training and our policies," a Unifi spokesperson said in an emailed statement. "We are investigating and intend to take the appropriate action."

The incident has riled up plenty of golfers on social media.

"Delta Simply telling people to contact baggage support isn't enough," one user said on X. "You should address this openly and accept it is not acceptable."

"Delta UNACCEPTABLE! Why the silence? And you know this is not isolated," another user said on X.
