These notables are in danger of missing the cut after first day of the 2024 British Open

The first round of the 2024 British Open is in the books, and we’re one step closer to crowning the Champion Golfer of the Year.

However, on the other side of the leaderboard, there are plenty of players in danger of not earning a weekend tee time.

After 36 holes at Royal Troon, the low 70 players and ties will make the cut and compete in the final two rounds in Scotland. Anyone finishing worse than that will slam the trunk and head home.

After the opening day of play Thursday, the cut is projected at 3 over with 81 players in position to play the weekend. Here’s who is on the outside looking in.
