Scottie Scheffler leads (again), Willy Z's late collapse among Arnold Palmer Invitational third-round takeaways

World No. 1 and a sponsor exemption tied for the lead going to Sunday? Talk about a unique leaderboard.

The 2024 Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club & Lodge has the best leaderboard of the season heading to Sunday. The stars have showed up at Arnold Palmer’s place, and after a windy moving day on Saturday, the stage is set for a grand finale come Sunday.

Scottie Scheffler and Shane Lowry are tied for the lead, and right behind them is another major champion in Wyndham Clark. Will Zalatoris, who is continuing his return, held a five-shot lead at one point Saturday but is T-4 going to the final round.

Then there’s Rory McIlroy, who drove the 10th green and tied a back-nine record to get into the conversation on Sunday.
