Q&A: Jason Day on winning the PGA Championship, life at No. 1 and rediscovering his mojo

The tears started gathering in Jason Day’s eyes even before he tapped in to win the 2015 PGA Championship. Nine years later, that major championship victory remains the peak of Day’s 13 career Tour titles.

Day, 36, ended a four-year victory drought last year and after battling injury and a downturn in his form, the former world No. 1 has ascended back to No. 24 in the Official World Golf Ranking. He’s gearing up for another run at a major and to make his first International Team since 2017 in the Presidents Cup, scheduled for late September. Ahead of the 106th PGA Championship, which is scheduled to begin on Thursday, Day, a longtime Rolex testimonee, participated in a wide-ranging Q&A through his Rolex relationship, touching on his memories of winning the PGA, being world No. 1 and his efforts to get back to the top of the game.
