Notables who missed the cut in the 2024 U.S. Amateur at Hazeltine National

CHASKA, Minn. — It’s really hard to make the cut at the U.S. Amateur. So much so, only one in five golfers makes it to match play.

Stroke play is in the books at the 2024 U.S. Amateur at Hazeltine National, and most of the field is packing its bags and heading home following two days at Hazeltine and Chaska Town Course, the stroke play co-host. However, there’s a playoff coming Wednesday morning to set the bracket for match play.

The cut came in at even-par 142, with 67 golfers finishing at or below that number, including stroke play medalist Jimmy Ellis, a 39-year-old from Florida who earned his way into the field earlier this summer by winning the Florida Amateur.
