Meet the 12 amateurs playing in the 2024 Open Championship at Royal Troon

The final men’s major championship of 2024 is almost here, and there’s going to be another strong amateur presence in Scotland.

Twelve amateurs will tee it up in the 2024 British Open at Royal Troon, and they come from nine countries. England, the United States and Spain each have two representatives in the field.

Among the competitors include the No. 1 amateur in the world, Gordon Sargent, as well as major amateur event winners, including those from the past month like Tommy Morrison and Jacob Skov Olesen. Others punched their ticket in qualifying.
