Everything to know about the 2024 U.S. Amateur at Hazeltine National Golf Club

It’s time for the greatest men’s amateur golf championship in the world.

The 2024 U.S. Amateur begins Monday at Hazeltine National Golf Club in Chaska, Minnesota. The field of 312 will play 36 holes of stroke play at Hazeltine and Chaska Town Course before the top 64 make match play, which begins Wednesday at Hazeltine.

The 2024 U.S. Amateur will be the 37th USGA championship conducted in Minnesota. It’s the second U.S. Amateur at Hazeltine, with the first (and latest USGA championship at the venue) coming in 2006 when Richie Ramsay won.

Nick Dunlap topped Neal Shipley, 4 and 3, last year at Cherry Hills Country Club in Colorado to join Tiger Woods as the only players to win a U.S. Junior Amateur and U.S. Amateur.
