Alabama gets first win post-Dunlap, 5 freshman win D-II tourney and more college golf things to know

The NCAA Championships are less than two months away, and we’re a month away from conference championships.

The postseason is quickly closing in, meaning every shot counts.

And in the past week of college golf, there were plenty of notable performances, including a pair of women’s teams etching their names into the NCAA record book, a Division II team winning a tournament with five freshmen in the lineup and traditional powers once again finding themselves on top of the leaderboard.

In news you may have missed, South Carolina’s team van got in a crash driving back from a tournament in Georgia. Thankfully, there were no major injuries, though the Gamecocks’ best player will be out through SECs.
