Dana White Says Aspinall Is Backup For UFC 309, Addresses Jones Retirement Talk

Dana White says Tom Aspinall will be back-up for the UFC 309 fight on November 16 between Jon Jones and Stipe Miocic. Jones will defend his UFC Heavyweight Title after pulling out of the original UFC 295 date. Bones injured a pectoral muscle, which required surgery. During his absence, Aspinall worked himself into a title shot. He stopped Curtis Blaydes at UFC 304 to avenge his only UFC loss.
