With 10 to their name, you may be surprised to discover which country has a fifth of all ODI hat-tricks.
Sri Lanka were beaten by New Zealand on Wednesday as they lost the second ODI in Hamilton by 113 runs. It was pretty comprehensive stuff from the Black Caps, but there was one special moment for the tourists as Maheesh Theekshana claimed a hat-trick with the wickets Mitchell Santner, Nathan Smith and Matt Henry.
The hat-trick was the tenth time a Sri Lankan bowler has achieved the feat in ODI cricket – making them the country with the most hat-tricks in the 50 over version of the game. It was the 51st time a bowler has achieved the feat meaning that 20 percent of all ODI hat-tricks belong to Sri Lanka. Here's a breakdown of all 51 ODI hat-tricks by country.
