Tyson Fury lists out next ten fights including Anthony Joshua double header but jokes about avoiding 'next Mike Tyson'

Tyson Fury has jokingly mapped out his next ten fights in what would be music to Anthony Joshua’s ears.

The ‘Gypsy King’ spoke at a press conference in Morecambe ahead of his May 18 undisputed title clash with Oleksandr Usyk, as he looks to make history in the heavyweight division.

Fury has regularly teased retirement, but is still considered the top dog in the blue-riband division, with fans hoping he fights a whole array of talent.

And in a comical segment during an interview with Queensberry Promotions, Fury joked he was here to stay for a seriously long time.

He said with a beaming grin: “So I’ll map out my next ten fights then let’s go. Usyk twice, then we will have Anthony Joshua twice if he doesn’t get beaten in the meantime.

“I might chuck a Daniel Dubois in if he is back up there or a Joe Joyce. Joe Parker chuck him in there.

“Maybe Deontay Wilder if he gets back in, a fourth fight with him. Then a European like an Agit Kabayel fight.”

Moses Itauma, who has been dubbed as the next Mike Tyson, was then suggested in jest by a presenter, to which he responded playfully: “Definitely not, do you think I’m stupid?”

Fury then burst out laughing after jokingly pulling a fearful facial expression, which drew laughter from the rest of the panel.

He then went on to suggest he would then take a trilogy bout with Usyk, as he appeared to run out of names on his fantasy list.

Of course, Fury will likely retire way before some of these names are considered, but the jovial sketch has made it clear that he rates stablemate prospect Itauma.

The 19-year-old’s power has been compared to that of ‘Iron Mike’, particularly given he initially set out to break the legend’s record by becoming the youngest world champion in history.

Although he looks set to miss out on the feat with the titles tied up, Fury clearly rates Itauma despite his jokey assessment, previously hailing him as ‘the future of the heavyweight division’.

The ‘Gypsy King’ is deadly serious about facing British rival Joshua though, and Saudi boxing chief Turki Alalshikh is keen on matching the pair up after the undisputed fight.

Although an immediate rematch with Usyk is contracted, the champion’s promoter Bob Arum did indicate he could face Joshua in 2024 at Wembley Stadium.

The ‘Gypsy King’ still has plenty of tasks ahead, and is clearly more motivated than ever, given his current fantastic shape.

He has also been looking promising in training footage, fired up in a pad session with his father John Fury last week.
