Tyson Fury caught napping in changing room ahead of Francis Ngannou fight

Tyson Fury has been caught sleeping on the job.

Cameras interrupted ‘The Gypsy King’ who was trying to get some shut-eye backstage ahead of his crossover bout with former UFC champion Francis Ngannou in Ridyah, Saudi Arabia on Saturday night.

After being surrounded by people with filming equipment, Fury rose from his sleeping spot and ushered them all away from his dressing room area.

Manchester United legend Rio Ferdinand, who is one of the many celebrities who have travelled to watch ‘The Battle of the Baddest’ live, was amazed by Fury’s relaxed approach to fighting.

“I couldn't do this stuff, man,” he told TNT Sports.

“That's what I mean, this guy is fighting. It's actually ridiculous.

“And that would unnerve me as well if I was fighting that.

“I wanna see a bit more emotion and focus.

“He's coming in that relaxed, how good must he be?”

The 35-year-old will soon need to switch on for Ngannou, who despite being a boxing newcomer is known for his ferocious punching power.

Anything other than a resounding win would be detrimental to Fury’s status as the best big man in boxing and a defeat would put an end to a massive fight.

Fury is so confident of beating Ngannou he’s booked to face WBO, WBA and IBF heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk and their historic undisputed fight has been earmarked for December 23.

It appears his remarkable confidence allows him to rest when most fighters would be dealing with pre-fight nerves or warming up relentlessly.
