There is no denying the ability, skill and talents of Jaron “Boots” Ennis but people are waking up to who he is now at last.
No one really knows who Ennis is outside of hardcore boxing fans.
Why?
He’s been in some good scraps against good calibre opposition but none of the division’s killers, other top champions like Terence Crawford (yet) or stand out 147 lbs. unbeaten prospects and contenders.
That might now change soon however with the following:
Ennis is 32-0 (29 KO) and 23-year-old heralded prospect from the US Brian Norman Jr is 26-0 (20 KO) already.
Someone’s 0 would have to go if this gets confirmed soon and here’s what some in the boxing world are saying of the possible bout:

Ennis has impressed so far and promoter Eddie Hearn is really hyping up the newly crowned IBF welterweight champion as of late — but he’s still a bit away from a fight with division kingpin Terence Crawford surely.
