Diaz has put his name forward for a rematch, as he mocked up a fight poster on Instagram for him and Paul to clash again.

This came alongside the caption: “Rematch December. You ain't got nobody to fight so I'll beat your a** Dec 15th.”

The first fight between Paul and Diaz was not exactly a classic, as the MMA fighter was dropped in round five, and the social media star cruised to a comfortable points win.

Despite the one-sided contest, basketball legend Shaquille O’Neal is keen to see a possible rematch.

The four-time NBA champion re-posted Diaz’s fake fight poster on his Instagram story for his 32.7 million followers to see.

However, fans do not seem particularly interested in seeing the bout again, as one commented: “The rematch no one wanted.”

Another added: “Everyone with half a brain cell knows how this fight will play out. Boxing is a circus show.”

While a third said: “Yeah f*** that, I'm no longer watching anything with the name Paul or retired MMA fighters!

“Y'all retired for a reason Fam lol. S**** getting old.”

Meanwhile this fan simply stated: “This is getting embarrassing now.”
