Ringside footage caught Oleksandr Usyk's reaction to Tyson Fury being knocked down by Francis Ngannou

Oleksandr Usyk could not believe what he was seeing when Tyson Fury was dropped by Francis Ngannou.

The Ukrainian was sat at ringside for the Fury vs Ngannou fight on Saturday night, as he is expected to take on ‘The Gypsy King’ next with the pair having already signed to fight on either December 23 or in January early next year.

As such, Usyk was an extremely interested party while watching the fight considering Ngannou had the ability to ruin these plans.

And this almost happened, as Ngannou put Fury down in round three and appeared to have won the fight after ten rounds, but two of the three judges’ scorecards said otherwise, as ‘The Gypsy King’ claimed a controversial split decision victory.

At the moment Fury found himself on the canvas in the third round, Usyk’s eyes could be seen widening in surprise at ringside.

The current WBA, WBO and IBF unified heavyweight world champion then put his hand on his head, clearly concerned that his upcoming clash with Fury could be ruined.

The Brit made it through, however, and Usyk will have massively grown in confidence having seen this lacklustre performance.

And the Ukrainian even got in the ring post-fight to confront Fury, as they faced off and both men shouted: “Let’s go!”

Fury continued by saying: “Let’s go now if you want. It’ll be our next fight guaranteed.”

With that being said, Fury emerged from his clash with Ngannou battered, bruised and even with a small cut, so his injuries will have to be assessed before a date for his fight with Usyk can be confirmed.

But, when they do fight, it will see the possibility of the first undisputed heavyweight champion to be crowned in the four belt era.
