Mike Tyson makes brutal prediction for Francis Ngannou vs Tyson Fury

Mike Tyson is not giving Tyson Fury much of a chance against Francis Ngannou later this month – and fancies a knockout.

Fury will face the MMA legend on October 28 in Saudi Arabia, though he will not be putting his WBC heavyweight title on the line.

While some have criticised the Gypsy King for failing to fight an actual boxer, Tyson reckons his namesake will be out cold after one Ngannou punch.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, the former heavyweight champion said: “I am helping Ngannou.

“I am learning what he is able to do. He’s able to do so much more than I anticipated.

“He has what it takes to knock out anything or anybody standing in his way.

“Once he lands a punch on Tyson Fury’s jaw he is going to knock him out too. Nobody can survive that.”

That is some statement to make, considering Tyson might be considered one of the biggest punchers of all time.

Do not forget that Fury has already faced arguably the greatest knockout artist of the heavyweight division in Deontay Wilder.

In an iconic moment in the trilogy fight, Wilder decked Fury with an astonishing blow that would have ended 99 per cent of fighters.

However, Fury is no normal boxer and rose from the canvas like The Undertaker, going on to knock Wilder out himself.

Ngannou is a different proposition, though, and is renowned for his heavy hits in the UFC.

The Cameroonian is a former heavyweight UFC champion and has won 11 of his 12 knockout victories via punches.

But Tyson, who is helping to train Ngannou, is not completely ruling out Fury, recognising his superhuman endurance in the boxing ring.

‘Fury’s not the all-time great but he’s one of the all-time greats. He’s really high up. He can do greatness right now,” Tyson added.

“He’s always going to bring a good night of boxing, fight hard. You’ve got to try and hit him with a shot to knock him cold out because he always gets back up and fights hard.”
