'Mad scene' – Conor McGregor left baffled as Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy benefit from Ryan Garcia's drugs ban settlement

Conor McGregor is confused about Ryan Garcia's doping ban settlement.

The UFC superstar, who was an avid supporter of Garcia, became his most famous critic when it was revealed the 25-year-old failed two drugs tests before beating Devin Haney in April.

'Notorious' was quick to comment on Thursday night when that victory was overturned to a no-contest and Garcia was handed a one-year ban from boxing after his legal team agreed to a settlement with the New York Commission.

‘KingRy’ has handed back his share of the official contract purse – said to be $1.1million – and has also been fined the state-maximum of $10,000.

According to boxing reporter Dan Rafael, Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, who oversee Garcia's career, will receive that $1.1million.

McGregor is stunned by the fact Garcia's promoter is financially benefiting from their fighter receiving a doping ban and fine.

He wrote on his Instagram story: "How is Golden Boy getting a cut of the fine? Their fighter was dirty. And they get a cut of the fine? Huh?"

Haney was happy to have his undefeated record restored but questioned the commission’s decision just like McGregor did.

"Thank you to the commission for doing the right thing & making the right decision," he tweeted.

"I don't understand how Golden Boy is getting any money as if they took any punches. They haven't even spoke out about this PED situation."

The MMA legend shared Haney's comments, with the caption: "Mad scene."

Haney added: “Oscar ain't even paid me all my money.. & they bout to give him another 1.1. Me, VADA & the commission should all be splitting that money."

The 25-year-old was supposed to face WBC mandatory challenger Sandor Martin next, but he's decided to take a break from boxing after Top Rank won the purse bid with a lower-than-usual bid of $2,420,000.

Haney wrote: "I'll be back in one year.. I had all the belts already. From now on I'm fighting at whatever weight I choose no longer fighting n weight classes"

It appears he is intent on returning in a rematch with Garcia.

Haney added: "No bs tho I'm happy it's wasn't a DQ because I wouldn't wanna win like that once this suspension is over Ryan Garcia let's run it back.

“CLEAN on a even playing field.. Biggest fight n boxing!"
