Joseph Parker namechecks two heavyweight contenders as he seeks opponent for Anthony Joshua vs Francis Ngannou undercard

Joseph Parker wants to keep the ball rolling in 2024.

The former WBO heavyweight champion rolled back the years when he scored a monumental upset win over Deontay Wilder during the Day of Reckoning on December 23.

Parker rocked 'The Bronze Bomber' badly in round eight before going on to win a wide points decision to unexpectedly propel himself back into title contention.

Now, he's hoping to secure a spot on the undercard of the recently announced mega-fight between Anthony Joshua and former UFC heavyweight champion Francis Ngannou in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on March 8.

"I would love to fight in March," Parker told talkSPORT Fight Night.

"They have already given me the indication that there is a possibility that I could be fighting on that card.

"Listen, I am training every day, working hard, eating clean, and just enjoying rest time – but I know there is a fight looming very soon."

Parker namechecked Zhilei Zhang and Filip Hrgovic as two heavyweight contenders who have been mentioned to him as potential opponents.

However, the New Zealander is ready to fight anyone if the deal is right.

He added: “All those names that have been chucked at us, we've said yes to every one of them.

"I think it's good to say yes and offer these fights, but there's things that happen behind the scenes that we have to work on, in terms of negotiations and things like that.

"Every name like Zhang, Hrgovic or anyone – whatever they've said we've said yes to."

Wilder has also been linked to fighting on Joshua's latest undercard.

A fight with Zhang has been teased, but he could insist on avenging his defeat to Parker or taking a tune-up fight before testing himself another top contender.

Either way, it appears boxing fans are in for an epic night on March 8, and Parker is destined for a big year after proving everyone wrong by flawlessly beating Wilder.
